Mustard has an amazing group of volunteer leaders! Most of
our lunchtime groups are facilitated by volunteer leaders and we
take a crew with us to nearly every event we run.
If you’re interested in getting involved with Mustard, it would
be great to hear from you. We have all sorts of different things
that can be done, and we love to empower leaders to grow their
gifts and skills. Below are some of the different ways that you can
get involved in Mustard:

Every Lunchtime group looks a little different, some a big and
loud, others are small and quiet. Our leaders are all really
diverse too, and we’ve found that being a good leader has a lot
more to do with faithfulness and character than it does with
personality. Leaders are expected to attend the group once a week
(for approximately an hour), have done the necessary preparation
beforehand, attend Mustard training events once a year, and agree
to abide by the Mustard code of conduct (including having a Working
with Children Check). There is an interview process, where we’ll
meet with you and chat in more detail about what it is we do and
how we work and find out a little more about you as well. If you’re
interested in finding out more about becoming a Lunchtime Group
Leader, shoot an email through to c
orym@mustard.org.au or
steph@mustard.org.au they’re the ones who look after the
Lunchtime Groups.

If committing to a group every week doesn’t fit into your schedule,
you might want to consider becoming a Mustard Live Leader. Mustard
facilitates about 15 events per year at different schools around
Melbourne. Some of the events are only for an hour or so and others
can run over a period of weeks. So there’s lots of different
options depending on your availability. There is an induction
process for new leaders (including signing our code of conduct and
getting a Working With Children’s Check) and we expect Mustard Live
leaders to attend quarterly training and equipping events. If
you’re interested in finding out more about becoming a Mustard Live
